What is Yoga and how can it help?
The word yoga means 'union' in Sanskrit. This refers to the union of mind, body, and spirit. This is traditionally achieved through many different practices, including what is commonly classed as yoga in the west - movement practice - but this is only one element of it. True yoga practice has many elements as part of the path to union, including meditation, attitudes, behaviours, and philosophy.
What can I expect at a yoga session?
My yoga sessions are 1 hour 15 minutes long. Once you arrive, you can set up your mat and settle. The class will take you from your general day to day, gently through meditation into exercise, with a mix of breathing, poses, and yoga philosophy.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you can freely move and stretch in. You are likely to warm up during a class, and cool down afterwards, so layers are advisable so you can adjust to temperature as you need to.
Please bring your own mat. If you need to borrow one, please let me know in advance as I have a limited supply. You may wish to bring a cushion and a blanket for your own comfort.

It is a course of six sessions aimed at beginners, or those returning to practice. You can sign up for the course, or you can book and pay as you go.
